Stanford Graduate School of Business (GSB) is expanding its commitment to sustainability, aiming to equip future business leaders with the knowledge and tools to address one of the world’s most pressing challenges.
New Initiatives Drive Climate Action:
- Stanford Ecopreneurship Program: Established through the Benioff Ecopreneur Fund, this program empowers students to build public, private, and non-profit organizations that can scale up climate and sustainability solutions.
- Stanford Initiative on Business and Environmental Sustainability (SIBES): This joint initiative with the Stanford Doerr School of Sustainability fosters collaboration and research across the university, accelerating solutions to environmental challenges.

- Growing Popularity: The E-IPER Joint Master of Science in Environment and Resources, one of GSB’s most popular joint degrees, reflects student interest in sustainability.

- Stanford Climate Ventures, Center for Entrepreneurial Studies’ Startup Garage, Center for Social Innovation’s Stanford Impact Founder Fellowship, and GSB Climate, Business & Innovation Summit: These initiatives provide students with hands-on experience and leadership opportunities in the sustainability space.
Research Support for Impactful Solutions:
- New Research Fund: Supports faculty research at the intersection of business, government, and society, with a focus on sustainability.
